Formwork
The formwork is a wooden or metal mold into which a construction material in liquid form (usually concrete) is poured in order to harden according to the shape specified in the project and to support the newly formed parts until the concrete (or reinforced concrete) hardens.
There are several types of formworks:
- fixed formworks: produced on the construction side and used for the execution of a single building structure or for a piece; they are less economical;
- removable formworks: made up of prefabricated and standardized elements which, if used more than once, reduce the construction costs;
- mobile formworks, which in turn can be:
- slidingused for high buildings (silos, tanks);
- rolling, used for long structures (canals, tunnels etc.).
The coding stages are important so these are the steps that we follow:
- Identification of the formwork type required in the construction project
- Bringing on the site sufficient formworks or materials to build them
- Checking the construction dimensions according to each project
- Securing the formworks via supporting structures
- Checking the tightness of the erected formworks
- Cleaning and storing the formworks after stripping when they can be reused
